ESIC Business & Marketing School in Andalusia presented the Aster Awards last June in Seville, bringing together both businessmen and young graduates from this School

Mr. Juan Ramón Guillén, as President of Acesur, was one of the award winners, specifically, for the best Professional Trajectory and experience in the Company. Other award winner Companies were: Group Azvi (Construction), Restalia (Catering service) and Spantapajaros (Child clothes). This award acknowledges Mr Guillen’s achievements in a Company with more than 150 years of experience in the production, bottling and commercialization of olive oil and vegetable oils as well as other products derived from the olives. This professional experience has positioned Acesur as a leader Company within the olive oil sector in Spain and abroad, with direct exportations to more than 80 countries worldwide. In fact, this experience was also renowned in 2002 with this Aster award to the Enterprise with best Professional Trajectory and it is great pride for the Company to receive it again.

The Aster Awards are announced by ESIC Business & Marketing School as recognition of the achievements of the outstanding professionals within the Company they work for. The award winners, as in the case of Mr. Juan Ramon Guillen, receive a statuette along with a Diploma, as the ESIC’s recognition for the economic success provided to their corresponding Companies. Thus, Acesur products keep on achieving new prizes in appreciation of our labor inside and outside our borders. This is the case of the Prestige Gold Terra Olivo 2011 Award in Israel to our La Española Gourmet Extra Virgin Olive Oil. In the second edition of this international Olive Oil Prize in the Mediterranean, celebrated in Jerusalem, met the best culinary judges from all over the world to taste and evaluate more thatn 189 olive oils from 17 participant countries. La Española Gourmet received the Prestige Gold Award for its excellent organoleptic qualities, taste and aroma. Likewise, La Española Gourmet extra virgin olive oil has been prized with the 2011 Oro Olivinus award in Mendoza, Argentina.

On the other side, we are also proud to announce that in September, the Ministry of the Environment, Marine and Rural Affairs is giving Acesur the 2010 Foods from Spain Award, a renowned prize to acknowledge those professionals, Companies and Entities that promote the national economy of the agro alimentary sector.
